As a follow up to my January 2008 Mailer and Blog "Happy New Year and All Aboard", I want to thank those of you that took time to call and e-mail that you enjoyed it. Part of that mailer centered on Light Rail & Commuter Rail's future in Charlotte. It gives me great pleasure to thank the Charlotte City Council for being bold enough to provide leadership by approving engineering funds to study the North and Northeast Transit Lines. Our Griffith Lakes thanks you for your vision to turn a freight line screened by evergreens into a future Urban Village overlooking 3 Lakes, served by Golf Carts & Commuter Trains. I hope you'll join me in the future for that "Champagne Toast" at Griffith Lakes when those trains start a running and restaurants, offices and retail shops (brought by y'all) start a buzzing.
This past quarter we have had some 'Leasing' successes and I want to thank some Tenant Reps for helping us. Many thanks to Faith Lampkins and Jubal Early of Lincoln Harris who brought a 10,000 square foot office lease to Tyvola Executive Park. Airport 85 has just welcomed Geotechnical Consultants brought by Rob Speir of Keystone.
